Sara R. Rutledge is Founder and Principal Economist of SRR Consulting, a research and strategy firm serving the real estate industry. She supports clients with real estate investment strategy white papers, market and property-level research, and research content management.
Prior to starting the firm, she was the Managing Director of Real Estate Products at StratoDem Analytics, an early-stage data science start-up. She previously served as the Director of Research for the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, managing all research activities for the real estate investment management industry association. Prior roles also include CBRE’s Director of Research and Analysis for Texas, Senior Analyst in investment research at Invesco Real Estate, and an Adjunct Professor of research methods at the University of North Texas.
She is co-author of the Real Estate Research Institute-funded “No Encore for Non-core? Property-level returns in the private real estate market” and “The Impact of Hurricanes on the Value and Returns for Commercial Real Estate”.
Ms. Rutledge serves on the ULI Chicago Women’s Leadership Initiative Advisory Board and is active in the ULI Research Forum. She previously served on the Real Estate Research Institute Advisory Board and National Association for Business Economics Board of Directors.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with minor study in economics and mathematics and a Master of Science in Applied Economics, both from the University of North Texas.
